Denmark Elected to the UN Human Rights Council

On Friday October 12th, Denmark was elected member of the UN Human Rights Council with 167 votes.

On Friday October 12th, Denmark was elected member of the UN Human Rights Council with 167 votes. Denmark will serve as a member from January 2019 - December 2021. It is the first time we will sit on the Council and a unique opportunity to promote our human rights priorities and positions. 

The election ends a global three year campaign that have involved all corners of the foreign service.
