On November the 22nd the Embassy of Denmark in Belgrade was present at the ceremony of awarding contracts to local self-governments on project implementation of the Regional Housing Programme in the Republic of Serbia (RHP).

The Regional Housing Programme is a joint program of the Republic of Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and the Republic of Croatia, which aims to provide permanent housing solutions for refugee families from the conflict in the 1990s. The EU is the biggest donor of the programme. Denmark has supported the programme with 10 million DKK.

Thanks to the earmarked funding, within the fifth RHP sub-project and extension of the fourth sub-project, at least 916 housing solutions will be provided for refugees and their families who live in the territories of 54 municipalities and cities in Serbia.
