Another Danish Film Festival Opens in Zrenjanin

05.03.2020  13:54

The festival was presented and opened by His Excellency The Ambassador Anders Christian Hougård, who expressed his gratification regarding the fact that we were able to have another Film festival organized this year, and that we are succeeding in expanding the Danish art and cinema throughout Serbia. The visitors could subsequently watch a critically acclaimed drama Key House Mirror (Nøgle Hus Spejl), which will also be screened again today at 8 pm.

Moreover, we had the pleasure of talking with the representatives of the municipality and the head of The Cultural Center of Zrenjanin about the history of this imposing city, all the advances that have taken place and that are being planned, and we also discussed about the possible continuation of cooperation at the cultural and economic level.
This city has shown significant and steady progress in the past decade, and we will be very glad to follow up on their development, and try to find new ways of cooperation and coaction. We were very glad to have had the chance to get an insight from the local authorities, who are very eager about the possible joint action.

We enjoyed visiting this demographically rich city with impressive architecture, industry, and growth, and we wish the city even more success in the future.
We use this opportunity to thank the Zrenjanin Cultural Center, the city and their representatives for their hospitality, as well as the festival visitors for welcoming Danish art and cinema into their town.

The Embassy of Denmark and the Danish Film Institute support the Danish Film Festival, which takes place in Zrenjanin during March. Screenings are at 8 pm every Wednesday and Thursday and are free of charge.
