Nordic Gender Equality Conference Held in Belgrade

Four Nordic Embassies in Belgrade joined forces on December 10th to promote gender equality and fight against gender-based violence in a regional gender conference, under the auspices of the Serbian Ministry of Labour, Employment, Veteran and Social Affairs.

The conference titled "Development of Gender Equality through Regional Cooperation - Experience of Nordic Countries" was supported by the Nordic Council of Ministers, the Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Serbian Ministry of Labour, Employment, Veteran and Social Affairs as well as the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

It gathered the most relevant stakeholders in the area of human rights and gender, with a special focus on gender equality, gender-based and domestic violence.

Denmark was represented by Signe Vahlun from Danish Women's Council, a great speaker and expert.

On the second day of her stay, Signe met with the local women's organization whose attention she drew to digital harassement.
